Beginning Of His Journey

“My inclination towards horror happened by reading. When I was in seventh grade, I used to read books like Dracula and Frankenstein. I was not afraid of the stories, but I always felt like creating these worlds myself. That is where it began”.

“I was afraid of the dark. I have this recurrent visions where a shadow of a man coming down from the ceiling and whoever goes near, he would grab that person. This vision haunted me for two years”.

“It is believed that when you try to write about their world, they get to know, and I feel I have attracted horror in my life. I do have scary dreams but I have even had a few real-life experiences”. 

“This one time, I was in Goa. I had booked a cottage on the opposite side of Calangute Beach, which is somewhat isolated, and I like that place because of its vibe. I was there writing a book on horror. I was in the middle of writing a horrifying scene and was completely engrossed.  The light in my room started flickering after I felt something, a cold vibe, as I looked around. But the lobby lights were working fine. This experience was really weird.\”

 

Why Are Ghosts Violent?

“The majority of the ghost are good. From the experience of the paranormal investigators, the ghost has something left in their life, something they wanted to do, and they die before completing that, or maybe because of violent death. This is when the ghosts are bad”. 

 

Evil Ghosts

“When a man dies a very violent death, in the surge of anger, they are the evil ghost. They can end up killing you. Yakshini are demi goddesses and they are believed to reside in a realm between earth and hell that is governed by Kuber. Yakshini are believed to come to earth in the surge to kill people. They are very beautiful and their victims are always men. They are a lot of folklore based on Yakshini”.

 

Witches

“It is believed when a woman dies at childbirth or during the pregnancy stage if she is not cremated properly with all the rituals, then because of the latent desire in her mind, she turned into a witch. Once she is turned into a witch, she can’t bear other women\’s happiness”.

Real-Life Experience

“When I was writing ‘The Spirits talk to Me’, Sarbajeet Mohanty was my co-author. He is a paranormal investigator. The concept of the book was ten stories that he faced during such exploration. He sent me the first story, which was based on his experience. On the outskirts of Bhuvaneshwar, there is a small village. In that village, there was a ‌strange incident reported. Young boys of that village would wake up in the middle of the night, walk out of their house and cross a highway. There was a forest across a highway, wherein there was a tree where they would just hang themselves. This happened multiple times when some guy was hung on the same tree. So when Sarbajeet when to explore, they sensed dark energy. They saw mini tornadoes engulfing the tree as they were trying to investigate. They heard voices and saw shadows. Even when the villagers try to cut the tree, the person who would cut it fell sick”.

Ghosts Reside on Banyan Tree

“I have heard not to walk under a banyan tree at night. I believe that the ghost resides on the tree as they are permanent. These ghosts could walk with you and cause havoc.”

Ghosts Trapped in Objects

“Jay, my co-author, faced one incident. A person had got a mug from abroad. That mug had a spirit trapped in it because of which that guy had a terrible accident, and his wife left him. So, objects can also be possessed”. 

 

Do Ghosts Exist?

“There is no way we can prove these things, as they are just energies. Some devices detect EMF around. But we still have a disconnect as we cannot see them. Till we don’t see it. We won’t believe it”.

 

My Experience With Witch Craft

I went on a date with this girl around 4 years ago on a dating app. I had just broken up, and I wasn’t looking for something as in I just was getting to know people. So I went on a date with this girl. We spoke, and we had a good conversation. On the second date, she asked me, your intuition didn’t pick up that I practice witchcraft? I was like no, but I was interested. She suggested we should go to Carter’s or Juhu or Bandstand as the shop near which we met was closed. She specified a particular part of these places. I had heard about the ghost experience faced by one of my psychic friends in the same places. I was just interested in visiting, so I just went. We sat down there and while I was sitting with her; we were talking, but she was not talking much. We sat there for half an hour and I was feeling dizzy and felt like leaving. I booked the cab for both and I got into mine as our routes were different. The psychic friend whom I mentioned earlier called suddenly, and he asked me where I was and he just said he could sense something was done to me. Then he texted me a mantra and told me to meditate in the cab. He told me to have a saltwater bath as soon as I reached home and when I sat meditating that day, I felt like someone poked me with a needle. I never spoke to that lady ever again.
